GSR 149 (E) .- In exercise of the powers conferred by section 83 of the Standards of Weights and Measures Act, 1976 (60 of 1976) , the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the Standards of Weights and Measures (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 1977, namely:-

1.   (1) These rules may be called the Standards of Weights and Measure (Packaged Commodities) Amendment Rules, 2001.

      (2) They shall come into force on the 29^th day of March, 2001.

In the Standards of Weights and Measures (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 1977, in THE THIRD SCHEDULE, for serial number 18 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial number and entries shall be substituted, namely:-
